Post President's Corner

Greetings Hampton Roads Post!

In the last few months, we've had a stark reminder as to why resilient structures and properly maintained infrastructure are such necessities in daily life. Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by the recent hurricanes and I offer a special thanks to those first responders, civilian and military, who put themselves on the line to help others. We are also looking at ways that the SAME Hampton Roads Post can help those most in need. I don't have specifics as of this writing but will discuss it at our next luncheon.

I'd like to stress that our luncheons are for your benefit, so please contact Melissa (melissa.waefler@rsandh.com) and/or Mike (michael.pampalone@jacobs.com) if there's a topic you'd like to see addressed or if you'd like to present. We're always looking for new ideas. And as a plug for our logistics personnel, I ask that you take the time to register beforehand for the lunches. Please come out and join us next month for one of the major perks of being a SAME member: a good luncheon, excellent conversation, an interesting discussion topic, and continuing education credits all for a very low admission fee.

Best regards,
Pat
